This old recipe was given to Carol's mom Rita by her Aunt Pat long
ago and she grew up with the potato salad it was used in. It's
also used in her mom's apple salad. It's a sweet and sour Amish
recipe.
Mrs. Exley's Mayonnaise

egg yolks
1/2
cup cider vinegar
1/2
tsp powdered mustard
1
Tbl flour
1
cup heavy cream
1/2
cup sugar
1
Tbl butter
Instructions
In
a saucepan mix together flour, sugar, and mustard.
Blend
together egg yolks and vinegar. Add to pan. Add cream.
Cook
stirring until thick. Add butter and blend until melted. Cool.
