Introduced by Kevin Vaughn in 1995, 'Nancy Gill' is a hybrid of 'Sum and Substance' x pycnophylla x montana. Its habit is upright. Early on, the rounded leaves are blue-green; later they turn dark green. The edges of the leaf roll up to show the thick bloom on the undersides. The plant has excellent substance and produces pale lavender flowers later in the season. The plant has red stems. Several catalogues list it as very large. The leaves are nearly horizontal to the ground.
