'Love Pat' won the AHS Midwest Blue Award when Richard Ward exhibited it in 1988. One of the few Florence Shaw plants currently credited to her in the registrations, and one of her best. This plant is 16" in diameter and 14" high. The 5" x 5" heart-shaped leaves are intensely blue to blue-green, deeply cupped and rugose. There are 8 pairs of veins. The fertile, white trumpet-shaped flowers bloom from July 15-August 10 in New York. The parents of this classic specimen plant are lost as with most of her plants that Aden registered as his own. |
