longipes var latifolia is similar to the related species rupifraga, which was described by Maekawa in 1940. Some forms can be rather large. Average leaf size is 5", usually shiny on the back and top, and average 7-9 vein pairs. Scapes are 12-15" and bloom time is typical for the species (Fall).
