| Ralph H. Benedict registered 'Liberty Bell' in 1985. Its parents are 'Yellow Splash' and 'Neat Splash'. The plant is 14" in diameter and 10 " high. It shows streaked variegation that is unstable. The 5 x 2" leaves are green irregularly variegated with white. Young foliage often has an overall yellow appearance. There are 3-4 pairs of veins. The scape has leafy bracts and is 40" tall so it may need staking. The dark purple flowers appear late in the season. |
