| 'Leading Lady', a sport of a 'William Lachman' seedling, was registered in 1995. The plant is moderately dense with a semi-upright habit. A moderate grower, it is 40" in diameter and 23" high. Measuring 14 x 10", the leaves are considered ovate with a cordate base. They are dark green with a .75" wide, slightly rippled gold margin that changes to creamy white. They exhibit heavy substance, have a cordate base, and are slightly shiny above and underneath and moderately wavy. The 39" scape is a glaucous green. Light lavender, tubular-shaped blooms appear midseason. |
