Hosta 'Lakeside Sapphire Pleats' is a medium clump of cupped blue leaves
that are wider than long and lighter blue wide petioles that reach out
into the leaves. White flowers contrast with the darker leaves. This plant
was registered in 1996 and it has a moderate growth rate. The parentage is
unknown and it does set viable seed. The leaves are upright and broadly
