Hosta 'Lakeside Roy El' means "the Roy" and was named for my husband Roy. The large, shiny green leaves are bordered in yellow that changes to cream in summer. The upright and spreading clump has orchid flowers. Awarded Best Unregistered Seedling in '94 and Best of Section in '99 at AHS National Leaf Shows. This plant was registered in 1994. It sets viable seed and the parentage is unknown. The leaf is broadly ovate with a cordate base.
