Hosta 'Lakeside Meter Maid' is a rapid-growing medium-sized clump resulting from a mutation of 'Summer Music'. The name was created when I pictured its wide deep green border as a skirt and the large white center as an apron. Strong substance assures its endurance in the hottest weather. This plant is a 1998 introduction and has near-white pods. The leaves are ovate with cordate bases.
