Hosta 'Lakeside Little Gem' is a small plant. Its heavy substance and
small, ruffled leaves won the hearts of visitors in Germany in '92 when it
was voted the favorite plant of the Garden Trial Days. It has also been a
section winner in our AHS shows. Rich purple flowers complement the deeply
colored leaves. The parentage is unknown. It is a 1993 registration. The
leaf is ovate with a rounded base. The seeds are viable. Submitted by Mary Chastain |
