Hosta 'Lakeside Doodad' (meaning not much of anything, referring to its size) could be called a dream plant, ideal for any small nook or border in the garden. The clear white centers and rich green border provide a nest from which spring flower scapes of red and white loaded with bright purple flowers. The parentage is unknown. The leaves are lance-shaped with rounded bases. It has a mound-like habit. It is a 1995 registration.
