'King James' was named by AHS Founder Alex Summers. The plant is believed to have come from Japan by way of Gus Krossa, but little is known of it's origin. It is from montana heritage. It has lavender flowers on scapes which barely top the foliage. The plant has blue-green leaves. The leaves are heart-shaped, folded, and deeply veined. It can reach an impressive 48x28". Leaves are a large 9x12" with 12 veins. Scapes climb 34" tall with lavender funnel-shaped fertile flowers.
