'Kara' resembles 'Tokudama Flavocircinalis' (possibly more vigorous) but is larger and has rounder leaves. It can reach a size of 26" wide and 14" high, with leaves measuring 6x5". They are cordate and rugose and blue-green in color with a yellow margin. They have 13 veins. Scapes reach 16" and are tall and bare, with medium, bell-shaped white flowers. It is fertile. Sometimes labelled 'Kara G', the letter "G" stands for Giboshi (Japanese for Hosta) and should be removed.
