'Kabitan' is also seen as sieboldii 'Kabitan'. This lovely small hosta has narrow, bright yellow, ruffled leaves with a fine, deep green margin. It can tolerate 1/2 day of morning sun and makes an excellent border plant. Its deep lavender flowers are stunning. The AHS registered it in 1987. Sports from this plant include 'Green Kabitan' and other green forms. Some of the more interesting seedlings from 'Kabitan' include 'Bizarre', 'Blackfoot', 'Golden Oriole', 'Lakeside Twiddle Dee', 'Peedee Gold Flash', 'Sea Sprite', and 'Shima Kabitan' (a streaked seedling).
