| 'Eric Smith' (TF 2x31) is, strangely enough, an Eric Smith hosta. Schmid says that this hosta from the Tardiana Group is considered the best. The leaves are blue-green with slight marginal undulation. It makes a stunning, full mound and has lavender flowers. The leaves have good substance and it is considered one of those "nearly" slug-proof hostas. The hosta was officially introduced in 1988. As yet, it does not seem to have produced any sports, but that may be a matter of time as sports and mutations are now often part of the TC productions for the Tardiana Group. |
