| This hosta has been registered by Ran Lydell. He says he named it after Concord grapes because of the flower color. The plant came from Japanese seed which he got from Peter Ruh in 1994; the seed was labeled sieboldii Naugoku Hort. 'Concord' creates a low mound of deep green glossy foliage with good substance, which lasts into November in Ran's area. The blooms are deep purple and last for most of the month of October. |
