'Chinese Sunrise' does not have a recorded parentage. The plant is 18 x 10" with a 19" flower scape and comes from Alex Summers. It was formerly called cathayana 'Variegated'. The narrow chartreuse leaves have a dark green edge in the spring. The leaves are 6 x 3". There are lavender bell-shaped flowers late in the season. The plant is one of the earlier ones to emerge. It is speculated that it is related to 'Lancifolia'. |
