On Zilis's blue scale of Smith hostas this ranks as a #5, meaning it is one of the greenest. The plant has an excellent growth rate but does remain small. The flowers are numerous and hyacinth-like, near-white in color. The mound of the plant measures 18 x 12". The cordate leaves have good substance and measure 5 x 3" wide. As with all of Smith's Tardiana series, the ancestry is 'Tardiflora' x sieboldiana 'Elegans'. It is good to remember that the Tardiana names comes from the prefix of 'Tardiflora' and the suffix of sieboldiana. Remember also that Tardiana is not a species but the results of a fortuitous cross.
