Blue Dome (Minks 80)

Introduced by Minks in 1980, 'Blue Dome' is said to be a tetraploid. The foliage mound of silvery blue leaves can reach 42 x 24" with bloom scapes of 24" or more. The leaves have heavy substance and are cupped. It is just about slug-proof. Minks refers to the hosta as "A handsome semi-spooned, blue-sheened tetraploid. One of the bluest tetraploids to date. Produces a dome-like plant of remarkable texture. A superior tetraploid hybrid." The flowers are white, bell-shaped, and fertile.
