| This 1986 medium green hosta from Clarence Owens won the Eunice Fisher Award. It has huge dark green leaves which undulate and arch downward. The flowers are bell-shaped, white, and fertile. A mature plant can reach 4 to 5' in diameter. The leaf itself can easily be 18 x 15" and is cordate and rugose. The height of the plant can be 30" or more but the bloom scapes rise little above this level. It is a sieboldiana 'Mira' hybrid. Still a little expensive, but an impressive plant. |
