MyHostas Database Info

This 'Gold Regal' mutation is named after the founder of the American Hosta Society. It is a medium sized hosta and was discovered by Vic Santa Lucia. Except for the leaf variegation it could be a twin of 'Gold Regal'. Remember that while a mutation is a sport not all sports are mutations. A mutation involves a genetic change of DNA, while a sport is a much more inclusive term.
